Pick up from your hotel in Havana in the morning and short tour by bus to the ¨Christ Statue¨ overlooking Havana Bay and the city. Further on to the small idyllic train station of Guanabo or Casablanca, where you will board a nostalgic train, exclusive for the participants of this excursion.

|
Enjoy a journey trough a typical cuban landscape far away from tourism, with ¨Fiesta Cubana¨, open bar,
dance and live-music on board. On the way stop in the fields (weather-dependent), where you will learn how to cut sugar cane or how to make ¨guarapo¨ (sugar cane juice).
|
|
|
Around noon arrival at ¨Hershey¨. The village was named after the American chocolate king, who managed his sugar imperium from here until the 1940s. On a short walking tour through the ¨Batey¨ with the ruins of the former sugar central and houses built in typical Pensylvania style, you will learn about the history of the community. Followed by a rustic lunch with live music in the garden of the former mansion house or at the romantic ¨Hershey-Park¨ on the banks of a river.

Guests booked to Varadero continue with a transfer from Hershey by taxi, microbus or bus. Arrival in Varadero around 16:30 hours.

The waggons are in a rustic, typical Cuban style with wooden or plastic seats and open windows (no aircondition). There are only

toilets on board.

The program is subject to change, especially in case of technical reasons (e.g. if the train is in repair) or in case that some of the locations mentioned in the program are closed.
